Illinois- and Chicago area-based companies comprise nearly 20% of our current business. Over the past 40+ years, Guttenberg has been serving companies based next door to us.  We operate three shifts on a 24-hours, 5-days a week schedule.

Parts from Small to Large

We have 37 plastic injection molding presses, from 55 to about 1,000 tons, to manufacture parts smaller than an inch to a variety of parts larger than 575 square inches. We have 10 presses offering over 500-tons of clamping pressure.

Utilizing High Tech Solutions

We utilize robotics from simple sprue pickers to full-servo 6-axis robots. We also custom design, program, and build automation for high efficiency production. Our technology implementation extends to our quality department to ensure your parts are produced to your specifications.

Bringing Lower Costs and Quality Parts to Illinois

The strength of Guttenberg Industries resides in the people providing the expertise to produce the quality products and maintain the personal relationships with our customers.

Located in rural northeastern Iowa, we have a career-minded work force. Over 75% of our supervisors and managers started with us at an entry-level position.

This combination allows us to utilize our experienced knowledge-base and also be creative and innovative to meet increasingly complex customer demands.

We provide extensive value-added services.

This allows for a faster production-to-finish-to-delivery schedule to reduce transportation costs between vendors. These advanced services include assembly, ultrasonic and spin welding, thermal and ultrasonic insertion, over-molding, custom plating, hot-stamping and pad-printing, as well as in-mold labeling (IML).
